Teen In Lincoln Memorial Protest Sues Washington Post For $250 Million

The Washington Post was sued by a high school student named Nicholas Sandmann on Tuesday. He sued it for defamation and said that he was accused falsely of racist acts in the newspaper. The newspaper instigated that he confronted with an activist from Native America in an incident that happened at the Lincoln Memorial in the month of January.

Jeff Bezos who founded Amazon.com and is also the richest person in the world paid around 250 million dollars in 2013 for the Post and this much amount would be lost because of the lawsuit that was filed by the high school student named Nicholas Sandmann. It was mentioned in the lawsuit that this teen was targeted in a wrong way and also bullied in order to make the bias against the President get advanced. This happened as Nicholas was a white Catholic and also because of the cap he wore during the rally that took place in Washington, D.C. Kristine Kelly who is the Vice President of the Washington Post for Communications said that a copy of the filed lawsuit was being reviewed for an appropriate action. The incident that took place at the Lincoln Memorial sparked outrage and the photos taken went viral on social media. Additional lawsuits would also be filed, said Lin Wood who is Nicholas’s lawyer.
