The recent Pulwama attack in Jammu and Kashmir was condemned by the top official of the UN human rights to take a suitable action. Michelle Bachelet who is the High Commissioner of United Nations for human rights felt very sad for the people who lost their lives. The suicide bomb attack that happened on February 14 at Pulwama in Jammu and Kashmir was condemned by Rupert Colville who is the spokesperson for the OHCHR.
Around 40 soldiers were killed and many others were left in critical condition. The Pulwama attack was planned by the Jaish-e-Mohammed group. 7 people were killed in Pulwama’s Pinglan area during a major encounter on Monday. Two JeM terrorists, an army major and a Pakistani commander who was involved in the Pulwama attack were among them. Rupert Colville said that the High Commissioner was worried about the reports from India. The reports said that the Pulwama attack was being used as justification for violence and threats that targeted Kashmiri people who lived in different regions of India. The protection of the Kashmiri people by the officials has been directed by Rajnath Singh. Rupert Colville said that the actions taken to protect people were acknowledged.
