James Gargasoulas, an Australian man was sentenced to life for six murders and injury of around 27 people in Melbourne during a vehicle attack. This 29 year old man intentionally ploughed a car that was stolen. This happened in 2017 in the city centre. James spoke in a confusing manner that he attempted to do that after he received a premonition.
This attack was considered one of the worst attacks in the history of Australia by a judge on Friday. The six people who died in this attack include Zachary Bryant who’s just a three month old baby, 10 year old Thalia Hakin, 22 year old Jess Mudie, 25 year old Yosuke Kanno and 33 year old adults Bhavita Patel and Matthew Si. After 46 years, James Gargasoulas would be eligible for parole. At first, he pleaded that he wasn’t responsible for this attack but later he confessed that he had done it. Graphic footage revealing the plan and targets of Gargasoulas was shown to a jury last year during his the trial period. The youngest victim was with his sister. They both were struck but his sister was lucky enough to survive. James said that he drove into pedestrians because of the premonition that he received from God. The family members of the victims are completely devastated losing their loved ones.
